 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Just used The BMW Guy for the first time after obtaining a bid from the BMW dealership in Carlsbad to repair an oil leak. I brought our car in for a 2nd opinion & ultimately found out that the BMW dealership mis-diagnosed the source of the leak. I don't know if the BMW dealership would have ever come clean after working on the car. However, I can confirm that the cost to repair what The BMW Guy found/repaired was about 1/5th of what we were quoted by BMW of Carlsbad to repair what they claimed needed to be done to repair the leak. I truly appreciate the honesty & they've just earned a client for life. Thank you for everything.

I took my BMW there for a signficant service and not only was the work less than half of what the dealer quoted,  the pride in the work showed - the engine compartment looked as if the car was brand new.   I also took my Audi to Alfredo and unfortunatly, the part was defective through no fault of him.   I had moved from the area so I could not take it back for repair.  Alfredo fully refunded charges for parts and labor for the defective part.   He is very honest and does a great job.

How do I know when my MINI is due for service?

Most modern MINIs monitor engine oil, brake fluid, vehicle check and even brake replacement service intervals. Your MINI will tell you when it’s time for service when the maintenance light turns red.

How do I know what type and how much oil my MINI takes?

Always refer to any owner’s manual you may have. If the manual is not available, call an certified dealership/repair center and give them your specific VIN. Oil weight and capacity can vary by year or model. Getting it wrong could result in engine damage.

These repairs cost a lot. Should I sell my MINI?

The answer to that is always yes! If that question is already in your head you will always doubt or even regret any financial decision that keeps you in your MINI. Just get a new MINI! Or BMW.

Can we complete MINI warranty repairs or recalls.

We cannot complete factory warranty repairs or recalls. But we will guide you to the appropriate center if we suspect your vehicle may have some sort of warranty or recall, even if we cannot complete those repairs ourselves.

Which repairs should I do now and which can wait?

Our inspections prioritize repairs that should be completed immediately, that need attention or that can wait until the next service. We’re more concerned that you’re informed as to the overall health of your vehicle rather than pushing repairs which may not necessarily require immediate attention. Your happiness with our service and confidence in your vehicle is our utmost priority.

24-month/50,000-mile warranty

Repairs are covered by our 24-month/50,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first) on parts and labor from the initial repair date; no warranty is provided on client-supplied parts. Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and repair; damage from abuse, neglect, accidents, or modifications voids coverage. Warranty claims must be performed at our facility unless otherwise approved. Third-party warranty work requires pre-approval.

We source new parts from distributors who specialize in European/MINI specific brands including local dealerships, SSF, Worldac and others. With several deliveries available every day and various local warehouses, repair times are kept at a minimum.

We install only genuine, OEM, or equivalent parts that are engineered to work specifically with your vehicle.

We don’t take component failures lightly which is why we go to great lengths to ensure the parts we replace on your vehicle are of the highest quality and reliability.
